Elon Musk is in the news here because he has just made South Australia an offer it can’t refuse: to solve the state’s energy problems by building a giant energy storage plant. If he doesn’t get the job done in 100 days then he’ll do it for free.
@mcannonbrookes Tesla will get the system installed and working 100 days from contract signature or it is free. That serious enough for you?

Sounds too good to pass up, yes? And it has Federal politicians – who blame recent electricity outages on renewable energy – running around in circles. I think a few of the big energy companies are doing the same. You can read all about that here – it’s a long and sorry story of big polluters, cronyism and lobbyists.
Basically, Musk is doing what Musk does — changing the conversation by disrupting the norm and acting as a circuit breaker (pun intended). He’s always searching for new ways of doing things, I know this because I wrote an article, for Amreading.com, about books that inspire him.
He is constantly asked the question, “What inspires you.”
His answer? “I read.”
Here is the link to my Amreading article — 10 Books That Inspire Business Magnate Elon Musk.
I guarantee some of his choices will surprise you.
